T-Systems Hungary is Microsoft Partner of the Year

In the beginning of each financial year, Microsoft organises its Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) to outline the strategic policies for the given year and also to elect the best performing partners of the given subsidiaries. In Hungary, out of Microsoft's line of 3000 retail and education partners, the prestigious award was scooped up this year again after 2012 by T-Systems Hungary, the 100% subsidiary of Magyar Telekom.

T-Systems Hungary is Microsoft Partner of the YearThe new era introduced at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference presents a major change in many respects in the life of the company's partners. In recent years the entire Microsoft product range from infrastructure products to management solutions, from the Windows Phone to game consoles has been renewed. Building on devices and services, the company's new concept has opened up new opportunities for its partners to provide their customers with full-scale information technology services using the latest generation devices be they PCs, tablets, or smartphones. Another important change is that cloud-based services are again available in the Office 365 product family and in Windows Server 2012, which allows for cloud based services to be delivered from a single point of source be it private, partner-hosted or Office 365-based cloud solution.

In addition to the renewed partner strategy, the best partners of the subsidiaries were also given special attention. The partner of the year award went to István Papp, Microsoft Hungary's managing director, who presented Tamás Sipos, the division director of IT solutions of T-Systems Hungary, with the award at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston in front of the international managers of the software giant.

At the award ceremony, István Papp added: "T-Systems proved to be our most successful partner in two consecutive years. This achievement is built on tremendous amount of work and investment: the staff of the company's dedicated Microsoft competency centre has tripled in the past year hence by this year T-Systems has become one of our most experienced and knowledgeable Gold partners in a total of eight areas as opposed to last year's three, which is an outstanding achievement among the 3000 Hungarian Microsoft partners. The company has become number one in the introduction of cloud-based information technology systems as well, as last year alone it had introduced the solution to more than 4000 users representing an exceptionally wide range of clients from the largest Hungarian financial institutions to small but growing SMEs. To seal off our cooperation, T-Systems has become member of our large corporate strategic programme - the one and only partner from Hungary - lending it even more direct access to Microsoft's latest technological solutions.

The division director of IT solutions of T-Systems Hungary, Tamás Sipos added: "Similarly to Microsoft, T-Systems also places great emphasis on cloud-based solutions. This is why we were happy to include, for example, Office 365 or Windows Intune in our service portfolio. The introduction of Microsoft's cloud-based services is equally successful among our medium and large corporate clients. T-Systems Hungary is committed to the efforts of its clients in the reduction of costs and optimisation of operations; this is furthered and advanced by Microsoft's new, appropriate cloud-based product and service structure. Our evaluation and technical teams are further strengthened to enable them to perform on an exceptional level next year too in order to take this prestigious recognition of achievement again!"
