The first building block of digitalisation: the network

⁣How to simplify the entire communication system of companies? How can the tools used in it be kept up to date? How can smart solutions increase productivity? One.Connectivity can not only connect previously isolated solutions into a single ecosystem, but also open the door to the very new innovations of Industry4.0, which are mostly addressing everyday problems. The network as a basic infrastructure is essential for all areas of IT.

⁣One.Connectivity is the forerunner of industry4.0. Connected through the Internet of Things, big data systems and cloud-based solutions, we are not only collecting and evaluating data to make better-informed decisions: the vision is to transform mass production to serve individual needs, reducing losses, increasing productivity and improving efficiency.

⁣One.Connectivity is all about how to meet the most diverse customer needs in the most targeted way, preferably through a single service provider. This includes, among other things, simplifying the entire communication system of companies, as customers essentially want their employees to be able to communicate with each other from anywhere, while accessing the necessary data in the right place and with the required security.

⁣Effective management of telecommunications and IT tools is also expected. As the number of devices in use has multiplied, their coordinated operation has become difficult to control by manual methods, and impossible above a certain size. This is where software-defined (SD) solutions, the next step in the evolution of networking, can help. These allow the network to be accessed through a web dashboard that provides a single view of the whole. Not only can we monitor what's working and what's not, we can also use this dashboard to configure how the network works: who is connected to whom, what security measures are in place, and set and change individual-level network privileges.

⁣One of the huge advantages of SD infrastructure is that if any changes are made to it, they are immediately applied across the entire network. This allows for a very fast and targeted response to, for example, a sudden global security threat, rather than having to manually reprogram elements of the network. Another significant achievement of SD is Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP), which allows a new device to automatically configure and/or update itself where it is connected to the network without manual intervention.

⁣The next layer of One.Connectivity, on boosting productivity with smart solutions, is already in place for the forth industrial revolution, also known as⁣ ⁣ industry4.0: through the Internet of Things (IoT), big data systems and cloud-based solutions, interconnected systems are not only collecting and evaluating data to make more informed decisions:

⁣ the long-term goal is to transform mass production to serve individual needs, reducing losses, increasing productivity and improving efficiency.

⁣So One.Connectivity is more than just connecting previously isolated solutions into a single ecosystem. With innovations such as Dronify for automated inventory control and Tracker , a real-time, high-precision indoor location system, Magyar Telekom is helping to bring industrial digitalisation up to speed, which can help alleviate chronic problems such as the labour shortage that is hitting the economy. Customers no longer have to guess whether their problem can be better solved by a telecoms or IT solution: One.Connectivity takes the burden off their shoulders by providing a single source for a truly optimal solution that combines the best of all possible tools
