T-Systems Hungary Symposium 2012
T-Systems Hungary's first Symposium held on 15 November enjoyed huge
popularity and attracted great interest. Held in the Budapest Congress
Centre, the plenary and session programmes of the whole-day conference
programme hosted more than 900 guests, but when gala dinner visitors are also added, the total number comes to nearly 1100. 65 presenters, a total of 52 presentations, plus 8 sponsor and 10 T-Systems stalls ensured that guests had plenty to see and talk about.
The morning plenary programme saw acclaimed presenters and industry
decision-makers. The programme was opened by Christopher Mattheisen;
this was followed by the video message of Claudia Nemat, member of the
presidential board of Deutsche Telekom. Tibor Rékási and dr. László
Eszes, deputy CEO, talked about the strategy in detail as well as about
the cloud service designed for large corporations. Presenters included
Steven Frantzen, leading vice president for research at IDC, Zsolt
Szelecki from PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Gábor Bódi from Századvég
Economic Research Ltd, and Antal Rogán, chairman of the Parliament's
Economic and IT Committee.
In his presentation, CEO Róbert Budafoki described the strategic
directions for the now unified T-Systems Hungary. In the centre of
long-term corporate strategy lies the preservation of values, i.e. the
retention of existing knowledge and clients, which provides the
foundations of the four strategic pillars. The first pillar is to turn
the company into a transformation partner; the second one is the
provision of integrated and synertegic solutions; the third one is the
introduction of "ICT as a service" approach, while the fourth pillar is
the company's international system of relations, which means on the one
hand Telekom - being the secure and reliable professional background -
and T-Systems Hungary's openness and keenness to play a regional role.
In the afternoon the programme continued with session talks on nine different topics,
where clients could choose from 42 presentations in which the invited
and T-Systems Hungary's own speakers demonstrated the current trends in
the ICT industry as well as T-Systems Hungary's own solutions. T-Systems
Hungary had 10 exhibition stalls set up. During the
tours of the stalls our colleagues had the opportunity to describe the
interested public the company's extensive professional competences in
detail.
After the session discussions, round-table talks were
held with participation of decision-makers from key ICT companies
(Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and T-Systems Hungary)
in front of an audience of nearly 200 interested people about the
current state and trends of the sector, the business changes inherent in
the dynamic development of information technologies, and the present
and future of cloud services with the active involvement of the
audience.
To put the icing on the cake, in the evening a popular and widely
acclaimed Hungarian performer, Zseda took the stage to entertain the
participants after the whole-day conference.
