MOL Bubi Launched

MOL Bubi was handed over to the public by Deputy Mayor Balázs Szeneczey and CEO of the Budapest Transport Centre Dávid Vitézy on 8 September 2014, at the Deák Square Bubi terminal. The system was developed by the consortium of T-Systems Hungary and Csepel Zrt. A total of 76 docking stations and 1100 bicycles have been installed so far. According to the contract , Közbringa Kft., the project company of the consortium will operate the system for a period of five years from now.

MOL Bubi launchedThe stations are laid out along the Margaret Island - Budafoki Road and the Deli Railway - Keleti Railway station axis, placed at intervals of about 300-500 meters within the busiest central zone. A project cost more than one billion forints. HUF 900 million of this was financed from EU support, and the rest was contributed to BKK by the Local Council of Budapest.
