Starting point for Telekom Shift in Budapest

Deutsche Telekom has a new co-creation format: Telekom Shift.

International format will promote the culture of participation and break silos.

With Telekom Shift, Deutsche Telekom launched a new movement to connect visionary people with a wide range of skills within the Group and to consolidate the power of global cooperation. “The aim is to strengthen the ability of colleagues to master global challenges even better”, said Zsuzsa Friedl, Chief HR Officer at Magyar Telekom. Telekom Shift creates a space for employees around the world to solve major economic and social challenges and break through long-learned structures in the Group through open participation.

The kick-off to Telekom Shift took place from June 26 to 27 at Magyar Telekom's new headquarters. Based on over ten years of experience in barcamps, hackathons and design thinking workshops, an anython was created with the best from the formats. Around 250 Telekom employees from over 25 nations worked in teams over the past two days on ten challenges on the Smart City theme and looked at them from new perspectives. The theme was previously selected by Telekom employees on the You and Me social intranet, which has already won several awards.

Zoltán Kaszás, CEO of T-Systems Hungary, emphasizes, "Speed is extremely important when it comes to digitization, so we need to learn from initial difficulties, recognize challenges and quickly adapt to them. This event is a key one, and I would like to ask everyone to share their experiences, opinions and ideas, and take home the energy that we pick up here.”

As one of the world's leading telecommunications providers, Deutsche Telekom is breaking new ground in involving employees in a modern work environment and in digital transformation. With Telekom Shift, experts from all over the world work together on complex tasks and form a strong network.
