Cooperation between PTE and T-Systems HungaryThe biggest Hungarian service provider, covering the entire infocommunications spectrum, and the number one University in Hungary would like to join their forces primarily in the area of education, in particular in the area of IT education. As it is known one of the key objectives of the new higher education concept for the coming 15 years is the spread of an education structure that is aligned to the expectations of the labor market. In line with this concept the Hungarian higher education would focus more on practice oriented courses and the new dual education method would be officially implemented.

József Bódis, Rector of the University of Pécs, said in his welcome speech: „ The cooperation of T-Systems Hungary and PTE perfectly fits this new higher education concept because IT is one of the most dynamically developing training at the University of Pécs. On top of this it is generally known that new graduates have very good chances to find a job in this industry and it takes only two-three months for IT engineers to find employment.

T-Systems Hungary offers an opportunity to acquire practical experience primarily for full time training students of the University of Pécs. Within the frame of the trainee program the students may experience work in a big company environment and may become experienced experts during their studies. The trainees’ professional development is assisted by T-Systems Hungary’s mentors.

Tibor Rékasi, T-Systems Hungary Plc.’s CEO emphasized: „The well educated expert pool is of key importance in the ICT-industry as the precondition of growth is the availability of a sufficient number of trained workforce. The cooperation with PTE helps that university students may acquire practical experience either in the planned software house in Pécs or in the are of healthcare information technology and to achieve new results in the area of innovation”.

Besides the above the company and the university would like to support city development programs that use innovative and intelligent solutions. To this end they mutually elaborate the technical training and research development concept as well as the feasibility analysis that will support the achievement of the objectives of the program.
