Zoltán Németh, Chief Officer of T-Systems Hungary, besides presenting the MÁV-START free Wi-Fi service, also presented the Allianz regional data migration project as well as Magyar Telekom’s HR Shared Service Center project implemented in Bucharest while discussing them with the invited customer-side project leaders. These were the projects from which the invitees of the event could choose the winner with the Symposium mobile application, i.e. which project is most worthy of the Project of the Year award.

The total number of connections has already exceeded nine million and 770 railcars have been equipped by MÁV-START with the necessary Wi-Fi devices. The trains are very special places for the deployment of Wi-Fi aerials and various car types require different technical solutions. The railroad company made InterCity and suburban railways “smart” in the first place and due to the popularity of the service now more and more cars are equipped with access to the internet.
