Jászkun Volán – Traffic control and passenger information system

Jászkun Volán Zrt.’s core activity is passenger transport on road by bus, the company operates local transport not only in Szolnok, but also in the cities Jászberény, Karcag, Tiszafüred and Újszász.
To offer passenger experience up to the requirements of the 21st century, T-Systems Hungary installed in the period 2009 to 2012 in two phases GPS-based on-board systems on all vehicles operated by the Long-distance Passenger Transport Division to enable traffic controllers have at all moments current information about the position of vehicles. Additionally, passengers can trace the services on the internet to obtain precise information about potential delays. Cash registers can print tickets and season tickets to reduce their production costs and the possibility of abuse. The programs delivered not only make the work of the personnel easier, but enable also quick, exact and efficient investigation of passenger complaints to improve customer satisfaction.

MOL Bubi - Public bike system

Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) was established as the new governing organization of transport in Budapest with a decision of the Municipality of Budapest adopted on 27 October 2010. BKK basically integrates strategic, development, governance, contracting authority and control tasks in the area of community and road transport.
Budapest adopted a decision in 2008, by considering numerous international examples, to create a public bicycle system in Budapest for the improvement of the conditions of bicycle transport. The consortium of T-Systems Hungary and Csepel won the tender invited for this project with the lowest price.
With the launch of the system a new era started in community transport in Budapest. In the first phase that includes 1,100 bicycles put into service at 76 locations a growing number of people select green bicycles for their transport in the city. A nonstop phone dispatcher service is available for the system users, and online real-time information about the current occupation of stations is supplied on the MOL bubi website and mobile application. In the summer of 2015 several new collecting stations with 616 docking places and 50 bicycles were added to the public bicycle system in Budapest.

Kisalföld Volán – Integrated traffic control and passenger information system

Kisalföld Volán Közlekedési Zrt. is a company with the core activity of passenger and goods transport on road that operates local transport in Győr, Mosonmagyaróvár, Sopron and long-distance transport in Győr-Moson-Sopron County.
Kisalföld Volán Közlekedési Zrt. cooperated with T-Systems Hungary in the performance of three interdependent transport development projects. The objective was to develop a traffic control and passenger information system based on a common integrated information database for local and long-distance bus transport in Sopron and local bus transport in Győr.
With the use of real-time data a unified GPS-based traffic control and passenger information system was created for community transport in Sopron and Győr. On-board dynamic information is offered on about 200 buses, passenger information boards were installed at 38 stops, and traffic and timetable data are accessible online for all passengers. With the implementation of the “green light request” function buses have priority at junctions with traffic lights. The request is sent by the on-board computer of buses to the junction control equipment, this way the current position of the vehicle is considered for determining the signals of the traffic lights to give priority to community transport vehicles.
